Uses EZIQC® Program To Simplify Procurement For Public Building Owners
Online PR News – 06-June-2013 – Branford/CT – While beginning its fifth year as Southwest Regional Contractor for Connecticut's Capital Region Council of Governments program (CRCOG), Pat Munger Construction Company, Inc. was recently selected to also serve as Southeast Regional Contractor.
Munger has been using the EZIQC® system to competitively position itself and be ready to quickly execute projects awarded by owners of public buildings. Instead of bidding project by project, Munger bids on a catalog of construction tasks, each of which has a direct cost, unit of measure and specification. Over time, Munger workers complete multiple jobs that roll up to the overall value of their contract. Municipal and BOE customers benefit from this efficient procurement process that enables fast-track repair, alteration, maintenance and new-construction projects based on competitively awarded contracts.
Munger was recognized for its competency in job order contracting principles and practices by receiving the 2012 Mellon Award of Excellence. EZIQC® contracts completed by Munger are highlighted by three projects for the Town of North Haven Department of Public Works and three projects for The Town of North Branford Department Of Public Works among other projects.
"By applying the EZIQC® job order contracting system and performing high quality work, we help public building owners meet their need for quality, timeliness and value pricing," said David DeMaio, Munger president. "We are proud to serve as both the Southeast and Southwest Regional CRCOG contractor."
