Held on May 11 at the Hilton Chicago, all proceeds from the event go to support the research and advocacy of the Alzheimer's Association. Weve been playing in front of many different crowds for many years and have developed a knack for understanding what is appropriate for the crowd the event and the audience. We always go in to an event with a planned set but sometimes adjustments need to made as the event goes on. Part of the fun is making adjustments on the fly to provide better entertainment for a particular audience.

"This was a fun evening. The energy was high. People wanted to get out on the floor and celebrate life and the progress made in the march against Alzheimer's disease. We were honored to be able to participate in this event and keep the party going," said Dave Farley, Orchestra 33's founder and band leader (www.orchestra33.com).

The Rita Hayworth Gala is held annually over Mother's Day weekend in Chicago. Started in 1987 by Hayworth's daughter, Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, the event honors her mother by raising funds for and awareness of Alzheimer's disease. This year's event raised over $1.5 million, setting a record for the Gala. To date, the event has generated over $59 million for the Alzheimer's Association. The evening begins with a cocktail reception followed by a three-course dinner, program, auctions and then live music for dancing. This year The Orchestra 33 provided that dance music.
