Online PR News – 19-June-2013 – Wichita, KS – Wichita, KS law firm Lee, Gurney & Hess recently donated 25 bicycles to students at a local elementary school as part of a reading reward program.

To earn a bicycle, students must have read one million words during the school year. 25 students accomplished the goal, and were rewarded with a new bicycle, compliments of the firm.

Lee, Gurney, & Hess began the bicycle incentive to promote reading at the elementary school, located in a low-income area of Wichita. Each year, the number of students reaching one million words has increased, with 13 bicycles donated last school year.

“One of the greatest ways to spark a child’s imagination is through reading. The bikes are simply a reward for students’ hard work, but we hope the extra incentive to read often will help their long-term educational careers. Wichita’s future depends on today’s students, so we want to help in any way we can,” workers compensation attorney Rob Lee said.
