Guitarist Quinn Sullivan to sit in with The Roots on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon in advance of his album release on June 18th.
Online PR News – 03-June-2013 – New York, New York – As if performing with Buddy Guy all summer and appearing at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival wasn’t enough, Quinn Sullivan is going to add another accomplishment to his album launch by sitting in with The Roots — the house band on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Two weeks before Quinn’s sophomore album Getting There is released, he’ll spend an hour jamming with Questlove, Black Thought, “Captain Kirk" Douglas, Damen "Tuba Gooding Jr." Bryson, James Poyser, Owen Biddle, James "Kamal" Gray, and Frank "Knuckles" Walker. The show airs Tuesday night at 12:35 AM/11:35 CST (so, for East Coasters it is technically Wednesday morning) other guests scheduled to appear on the show are Ethan Hawke, Rose Byrne, Bruce Jenner, and musical group Savages.
Quinn Sullivan is a 14 year old New Bedford, MA native who picked up the guitar at age 3 and has wowed audiences on The Ellen Degeneres Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and The Jimmy Kimmel Show. He caught the attention of master blues guitarist Buddy Guy when Quinn was just eight years old and began performing on-stage with Buddy Guy a few years later. As Guy says, “You don’t come across talent like this every day. People called Ray Charles a genius? I think you’ve got another one here.” This summer Quinn is Buddy Guy’s opening act at over two dozen different performances all over the country and is releasing his second album Getting There on the SuperStar Records record label.
