Dr. Frese is the author of numerous articles and book chapters. He lectures widely around the United States and Canada. Dr. Frese has been featured on CNN, World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, The Chicago Tribune, The Wall Street Journal, and in the video "Iâ€™m Still Here: The Truth about Schizophrenia". A sampling of his distinguished career highlights reveal Dr. Frese is the retired Director of Psychology at Western Reserve Psychiatric Hospital, and is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Northeast Ohio Medical University. He was the longest serving member of the Board of Trustees of National Alliance on Mentally Illness (NAMI), and has worked as a consultant to the National Institute for Mental Health and the Veterans Administration. In 1999, he received the Hildreth Award, the American Psychological Associationâ€™s highest honor for distinguished service in public service psychology.
Dr. Freseâ€™s speaking engagements are free and open to the public. Professor Frese will speak on May 29th at the Imperial Centre, 270 Gay Street, Rocky Mount, from 11am-12pm; and at the Wayne Co. Public Library, 1001 East Ash Street, Goldsboro, from 5:30pm-6:30pm. On May 30th, Dr. Frese will speak at James Sprunt Community College 133 James Sprunt Drive, Kenansville, from 11am-12pm; and at Robeson Community College, 5160 Fayetteville Road, Lumberton, from 5:30 pm-6:30 pm.
