Internationally Renowned Psychologist Dr. Frederick J. Frese To Promote Mental Health Awareness

Fred Frese, Ph.D. is a psychologist with over forty years’ experience working with persons with serious mental illness. Frese will hold speaking engagements promoting Mental Health Awareness in the area served by Eastpointe, the local managed care organization (MCO).

Dr. Frese is the author of numerous articles and book chapters. He lectures widely around the United States and Canada. A sampling of his distinguished career highlights reveal Dr. Frese is the retired Director of Psychology at Western Reserve Psychiatric Hospital, and is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Northeast Ohio Medical University. He was the longest serving member of the Board of Trustees of National Alliance on Mentally Illness (NAMI), and has worked as a consultant to the National Institute for Mental Health and the Veterans Administration. In 1999, he received the Hildreth Award, the American Psychological Association’s highest honor for distinguished service in public service psychology.

Public Library, 1001 East Ash Street, Goldsboro, from 5:30pm-6:30pm. On May 30th, Dr. Frese will speak at James Sprunt Community College 133 James Sprunt Drive, Kenansville, from 11am-12pm; and at Robeson Community College, 5160 Fayetteville Road, Lumberton, from 5:30 pm-6:30 pm.
