Mumpreneurs win Deborah Meaden fronted Business Award

Midlands company Dorothy & Theodore – an online boutique has been named as a Regional winner for the Local Business Accelerators Awards fronted by Deborah Meaden.

Sally Hall and Emma Fear have been running Dorothy & Theodore for just over 12 months.

Sally Hall and Emma Fear have been running Dorothy & Theodore for just over 12 months having launched the company following their own frustrations to find practical family living products which were also stylish. The online boutique has rapidly grown and now represents over a hundred sellers and has a range of around a 1000 products. Along with home wares, www.dorothyandtheodore.com also markets maternity wear, children’s wear, baby clothes, parenting accessories, jewellery, stationery and even cupcakes along with some truly unique, one of a kind gifts.

The Local Business Accelerators is a national competition which sees businesses compete for mentoring and free advertising and promotion with an ultimate cash prize of £10,000 and mentoring from Deborah Meaden from Dragons Den. On the announcement of the Regional winners Prime Minister David Cameron tweeted his congratulations to the winning companies and praised the ‘phenomenal success of the campaign’.

In addition to benefiting from immediate support and mentoring, Sally & Emma will now go on to battle it out to be named the overall winner of the Awards later this year.
