Nina Jo Smith plays guitar and ukulele with clean, inventive picking. She sings in a voice that ranges from city smooth to mountain plain. When Nina Jo returned to performing twenty years after her brother’s murder, she brought the focus and passion of a martial artist to her gentle music. People, Places and Sings drops April 29, 2013.
Produced by Martin Young, who has worked with notable artists such as Clint Black and Martina McBride, the album features Nina Jo on vocals, guitar and ukulele, as well as Alan Thornhill (guitar and vocals) and Young himself (acoustic and electric guitars, bass, Hammond B3, percussion and keyboards).
