Online PR News – 25-April-2013 – Stockholm – Stockholm, Sweden, April 24, 2013 -- Greenlane Biogas AB, leading supplier of biogas upgrading technology is delighted to announce that it has secured an order from Sarlin Oy for what will be the first commercial-scale biogas upgrading plant in Finland. The Greenlane plant will be installed in Mäkikylä, Finland and will process raw biogas generated from a waste water treatment plant to provide high quality biomethane, suitable for injection to the natural gas grid and/or vehicle refuelling.

Earlier in 2010, Greenlane entered into a cooperation agreement with Helsinki-based Sarlin Oy AB, for the supply of biogas upgrading solutions. “This is our first purchase order from Sarlin, and is the beginning of what we expect to be a long and rewarding relationship between our companies. It is always exciting to be the first to supply to a new market, and we anticipate Finland’s enthusiasm for biomethane will rival other Scandinavian countries, making this an important new market for us.” said Steve Rowntree, Greenlane’s Sales Director.

Kari Lammi, Director of Sarlin's Energy & Environment department said, "this project is an important start for entering a new business area and I am delighted that we can start cooperation with Greenlane with this exciting project. It is high time that we also in Finland begin upgrading our biogas."

The project will utilise Greenlane’s newest leading edge pressurised water scrubbing design which is favoured around the world as the simplest to operate and most efficient purification technology. The ‘Kanuka’ plants are delivered as a compact containerised module, including control and ancillary systems, which helps to ensure fast, low cost installation. The Mäkikylä plant is scheduled for delivery during the first quarter of 2011.
