In 1986, he graduated magna cum laude from Queens College, and received degree of honors in political science. After studies, Michael began working with the United States Attorney's Office in Brooklyn as s a special assistant U.S. attorney.

In the year 1993, Michael joined his father Leon Wildes’ distinguished law firm in the United States, Wildes & Weinberg which focusing on the immigration and naturalization field. During his legal career, Mr. Wildes represented U.S. Government in various immigration proceedings, represented several defectors who have provided hard-to-get U.S. security information. His efforts to prevent the Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi, from staying in New Jersey, can never be unseen. Besides this, he helped Universe 2009 Stefanía Fernández, chart-topping singer David, and soccer star Pele, in obtaining visa to the United States.

In 1999, Michal began his political career as Englewood councilman. Due to his loyalty and dedication towards work, Michael was re-elected for the same designation in 2002.
