Grant awarded to The Center for Comprehensive Cancer Care
Online PR News – 25-April-2013 – Dunmore, PA – First National Community Bank (FNCB), the largest community bank in Northeastern Pennsylvania, announced today a $250 donation to The Center for Comprehensive Cancer Care as part of the Community Caring employee volunteer program.
Through the FNCB Community Caring program, employees who volunteer in the community can qualify for grants for their favorite non-profit organization. Theresa Verdon, administrative assistant at FNCB, selected The Center for Comprehensive Cancer Care, an organization she dedicated nearly 30 hours of volunteer service to in 2012.
“The center offers a range of support programs to help patients and their families cope with the challenges of a cancer diagnosis,” said Verdon. “FNCB is committed to supporting their efforts through our employee volunteer program.”
The support of The Center for Comprehensive Cancer Care represents part of FNCB’s larger Community Caring initiative. Through outreach programs, donations, and an employee volunteer network, FNCB is committed to helping the communities they serve.
