For businesses considering meaningful community support, The Hope Center is the perfect choice. The resourceful staff, also beneficiaries in need, understand poverty first hand. They volunteer out of a sense of duty to repay the hand up they received. The Hope Center is not about giving a hand out but rather, they focus on offering a hand up. It takes more than words these days. It takes action. Orlando and JoAnn Reyes, founders, make sure that families in need get food, clothing and job training that makes a real difference. The numbers are staggering, in DFW alone 1 of every 4 children is suffering from hunger, and more than 640,000 people are living in poverty. Orlando and JoAnn Reyes, founders, saw a need 10 years ago and North Texas is fortunate they did. Individuals can help by putting a food box at their church, store or business to collect canned goods.
