Knights of Columbus has always been at the front helping people in their hour of distress. The Texas tragedy which saw loss of many lives and rendered many people homeless saw a surge of the Knights handing out relief material and coordinating the relief activities.

According to a source in Knights of Columbus College Knights from Baylor University, Council 13577; the University of North Texas, Council 14789 and the University of Dallas, Council 14872 volunteered on April 20th at the main relief site in West Texas. Knights of Columbus have always been in the frontline to coordinate and carry out the relief operation in such situations.
Apart from making their presence felt in the main camp, volunteers from Knights of Columbus were seen helping in giving out the necessities and supplies near the main camp. These supplies were handed out to the people who had lost their homes in the devastating fire that followed the explosion in the fertilizer factory.
According to Knights of Columbus Carl Anderson has a strong presence in the area and Local Knights from the West seen helping to run the distribution site. In addition to carrying out the groundwork Knight of Columbus had begun distributing $10,000 in funds to the people who were affected by the explosion. Another $10,000 has been sent by the supreme office of Knights of Columbus from their New Haven office.
Power of charity was visible in the acts of volunteers from Knights of Columbus as they are trying to rebuild the lives of people who have seen the worst in their lifetime.
