North Carolina Healthy Start Foundation Launches Mobile, Social, Digital Effort to Insure Children...
Online PR News – 22-April-2013 – Raleigh NC – The North Carolina Healthy Start Foundation has launched North Carolina’s first mobile marketing campaign – expanding outreach efforts to link eligible children and teens with free or low-cost health insurance. Teens and their parents will be engaged by a mobile, text and web-based program encouraging them to learn more about Health Check/NC Health Choice for Children and to apply. The campaign is a partnership between the North Carolina Healthy Start Foundation and the N.C. Pediatric Society Foundation’s “Healthy and Ready to Learn” Project, now in its fourth year of intensive outreach, to enroll children in 46 of the state’s most economically disadvantaged counties.
“We are very excited to be the first in North Carolina to use a completely digital, mobile strategy to help insure North Carolina’s children,” said Janice A. Freedman, executive director of the North Carolina Healthy Start Foundation. “This strategy engages teens directly and allows the N.C. Pediatric Society’s “Healthy and Ready to Learn” coordinators to easily direct people to the information and tools they need.
