Memorial Day Weekend visitors to Key West Florida will be able to experience the world of Key West diving through the Key West Dive Center, offering morning and afternoon dive excursions for certified divers and Discover Scuba Diving courses for non-certified visitors
Online PR News – 21-May-2010 – – Visitors in Key West Florida during this year's Memorial Day Weekend will be able to experience some of the best Key West scuba diving excursions around through the leading reservations and information center for diving trips, the Key West Dive Center. With thousands of travelers descending on the island of Key West for the holiday weekend, the Key West Dive Center will take adventurous visitors on an unforgettable dive journey out to the various dive spots off the coast of Key West Florida.
For certified divers, the center offers two trips. Each trip is made up of two dives with one tank per dive. The morning trip, from 8:30 to noon, consists of a stop to the world-famous Vandenberg shipwreck dive site. The second site for the morning trip is dependent on the divers booked for that day's trip: divers can request either a second Vandenberg dive, a dive at another one of Key West's shipwrecks, or a stop at the extensive coral reef system of Key West.
The afternoon dives, from 1:30 to 5, are made up of two stops at two different areas of the coral reef, with depths ranging from 30 feet to 45 feet. This is the less advanced dive and excellent for novice divers.
People coming to Key West who do not have their scuba diving certification but are still interested in knowing what a Key West diving excursion is all about can look to the Dive-In-a-Day course. This course is designed as an intro-to-scuba-diving course, and allows guests to go on an actual scuba diving trip, even if they do not have their certification! After a two-hour instruction course in a resort pool, guests on this trip will join regular scuba divers on the afternoon trip accompanied by one of the Key West Dive Center's expert dive instructors.
Memorial Day Weekend is one of the busiest times of the year in Key West, but it is also one of the most exciting times to be in Key West. The weather is warm all day, the waters are warm and clear, and the marine life in the coral reef gardens is extremely active. Whether it's a Key West diving trip or a Key West snorkeling adventure, this is one of the best times of the year to get out in the diverse waters of Key West.
