"Famous: The Buzzy Linhart Story" is a celebration of the life and music of Buzzy Linhart. Born March 3, 1943, Linhart is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, vibraphonist, and raging solo artist who also recorded with Buffy Sainte-Marie, Tim Hardin, Richie Havens, and provided the beautiful vibes part on "Driftin'" by Jimi Hendrix. A fixture of the 60s and 70s NYC, Greenwich Village scene, Buzzy's songs blur the lines between genres - blending jazz, rock, folk, blues, and Indian raga seamlessly, even before the Beatles caught on.

Known for his packed, high energy performances that could last hours, Linhart was the predecessor of artists such as Bruce Springsteen. Loved by fans and musicians alike, Buzzy was at the cusp of superstardom when suddenly...he disappeared. He virtually vanished from the music scene.

This documentary explores Buzzy's life through his own words and the words of his fellow musicians, friends, and family, weaving his stories together into a historical, musical diary.
