LASERTRON Installs LT-12 Game System and Multi-Level Arena in Big Apple Fun Center in Kearney, NE

On March 15th, 2013 Big Apple Fun Center introduced their newest attraction LASERTRON Laser Tag to the community of Kearney, NE.

Online PR News – 05-April-2013 – Amherst, NY – Big Apple Fun Center, Kearney’s largest entertainment complex, began construction back in September of 2012 for the sole purpose of adding a large, multi-level laser tag attraction to their center.

Owner Gregg Johnson researched laser tag manufacturers, attended various trade shows, talked with and visited many other laser tag centers for several years. Ultimately, he selected LASERTRON’s Game System and Arena for its durability, game play and recommendations from other LASERTRON operators.

"The Big Apple Fun Center in Kearney, Nebraska, got our new addition, with Lasertron laser tag, open March 15th," stated Gregg.

“The arena is about 5,000 square feet including the first and second level with 32 vests. I believe we have the finest laser tag arena in a bowling fec. Ann and Steve and all the crew at Lasertron have been great to work with and the arena is spectacular with both led and black lights.”

Gregg sent his son Mike Johnson to LASERTRON’s Entertainment Center Conference for 2 days in February of 2012 to check out LASERTRON’s laser tag system, the playability of the arena and to learn more about operating and managing a laser tag attraction.

This past January, Mike went back to LASERTRON with another employee, Megan Spady, who is now in charge of the laser tag attraction. Mike and Megan worked side by side with LASERTRON employees to get hands-on training and knowledge prior to opening up their laser tag attraction. The two also learned firsthand how the LASERTRON Center Manager Pro software would benefit their business by using the reservation and kiosk modules for management, data collection and marketing efforts.

When LASERTRON installed the game system and arena, their techs spent several days training staff, including Kenny Owens, who is the General Manager of the Big Apple Fun Center.

Greg also commented on their initial sales.

“We are charging $12 for a 30 minute experience of 4 six minute games. Sales for laser tag for March 15 - 31 are $23,500. I think that's pretty good for a town of 30,000 in rural Nebraska. If you know of anyone thinking of adding laser tag, or improving their laser tag arena, have them contact Ann Kessler. I can be contacted on my cell phone 308-440-7485 or at for anyone who wants to discuss Lasertron laser tag.”
