Gurudas Kamat, Hon. Loksabha MP inaugrated this two day tournament at the PA Mhatre Sports Complex in Juhu.Babloo Aziz,former congress corporator and bollywood producer is an avid sports lover and believes in spreading the message of peace and harmony through sports. For over 2 decades now, he has been organizing various tournaments to encourage and motivate budding sportsmen in his neighbourhood.
D.N. Nagar Boys won the final in a nail biting finish and carried home a cash prize of Rs 1,50,000 amidst the thunderous applause of the packed audience. Doing the honours on this chosen day were Chunky Pandey, Viveck Shettyy (M.D., Indus Communications) and Babloo Aziz. Aareef Chauhan was ajudged Man of the series for his consistent performance with the bat and Firoz was declared the best bowler of the Tournament with a total tally of 11 wickets.
Cash prizes were also given for each six, every bounday and every catch taken. The large hearted Babloo Azizdistributed more than 3 lac in cash as prizes to the winning teams and the various players. Sports could clearly do with many more large hearted individuals like Babloo Aziz. Here's raising a toast to the sporting future of India.
