Experienced administrator to lead college focused on clean-energy workforce development

An education industry veteran who brings more than twenty-five years of education management experience, Seifert is uniquely qualified to lead Ecotech Institute. Seifert has served in a variety of capacities in private colleges, with a notable strength in building and maintaining well-performing educational institutions. Before joining Ecotech Institute, he was president of Kaplan College in San Diego, one of the largest campuses within the organization, for nine years. In that role, he raised college performance and it was regarded as a regional resource.
Under Seifert’s leadership, Ecotech expects to educate more than 15,000 people in the next 15 years.

Seifert has also held senior leadership positions across the country with ITT Technical Institute, Computer Tech, National Education Corporation, United Education & Software, and Airco Educational Services. In addition, he has a wealth of experience in the insurance industry and retail sales. Michael received his bachelor’s of science in Business Resource Development from Medaille College in Buffalo, New York and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
