LINCS Healtcare, a Brisbane-based private nursing and personal care service provider, is looking for registered nurses (RNs), endorsed enrolled nurses (EENs) and assistants in nursing (AINs) for casual, part-time and full-time positions to fill key home nursing positions in LINCS service area.
Online PR News – 17-May-2010 – – LINCS Healthcare, Brisbane’s top provider of ambulatory care and community nursing services, is looking to fill key home nursing positions including; registered nurses (RNs), endorsed enrolled nurses (EENs) and assistants in nursing (AINs) for casual, part-time and full-time positions. Successful applicants will work in LINCS service area which covers Brisbane’s northern and southern suburbs, Caboolture and the Sunshine Coast.
There is a growing need for home medical care and home-nursing services for the elderly population. The Australian Bureau of Statistics report suggests that like many developed countries, Australia is now facing an ageing population brought about by “sustained low fertility and increasing life expectancy.” According to a 2007 report by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, there are only 263,331 registered and enrolled nurses in the whole country. Comparing this to the 2008 Australian Bureau of Statistics report that there are 526,400 people aged 65 years or older in Queensland alone, shows the growing and substantial need for these important nursing positions.
LINCS is looking for RNs and EENs with at least 12 months nursing experience in a hospital setting. Experience in the community nursing services is a big advantage. AINs and other personal care workers need to have at least 2 years experience working in the medical care sector. LINCS also provides mentorship to those who want to work in the home medical care sector but do not have any relevant experience in the community setting. Employees are offered competitive rates of pay, flexibility and skill development opportunities.
Aside from career opportunities for nurses, LINCS is also open to other professionals like clinical nurse consultants, health sociologists, administration officers, and counsellors. All employees undergo comprehensive employment procedures including background checks, continuing education and skills training.
LINCS is a member and affiliated of various organisations including Ambulatory Care Australia, The Australian College of Health Services Executives, The Royal College of Nursing Australia, Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management, The International Employment Relations Association and GP Partners.
