This is a sustained program to encourage students to think out of the box and get themselves a great start for their career ahead. Plans to recruit campus ambassadors across 500+ colleges in India over a period of 3 years are being made.

The campaign aims at targeting 40 million students in India between the age group 19-24 who even with the best of degrees from well renowned colleges and universities find it challenging to give a head start to their career. With this program, OLX provides a platform for the youth to have an internship with a global brand on their resumes, which in turn will be advantageous for them in their quest for a brilliant career. To begin with, OLX.in will target graduate, management and engineering colleges across Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore to shortlist a pool of interested candidates. This is in sync with the activity in college called the ‘Sell Your Principle’ where students are invited to post key principles of their lives which they would practice and preach and thus participate in the knowledge hunt. Manual screening of students who have submitted interesting principles along with interest in participation results in the selection of the college ambassador for this program. The event in the college will also recognize the most creative principlesubmitted and give away OLX branded merchandize to such students. The shortlisted ambassadors would then be formally inducted in the program and given a brief about the exciting tasks at hand along with the immense learning in the months to come.

The initiative engages directly with a large student community on campus by conducting a host of interesting activities that are executed by the OLX college ambassador over a period of 5 months. These activities tests the ambassadors on skills like planning, motivation and leadership while simultaneously acknowledging their potential by giving them an opportunity to become a ‘Best Seller’. The culmination will zero in on one best performer who will finally intern globally at one of the international OLX offices.

These ambassadors will drive the Best Sellers Program in their respective colleges and they will be amply guided by mentors to organize myriad on-ground activities on which they would be evaluated.The best performing students would be exposed to world class seminars, trainings and lectures from the industry specialists to further hone their skills. The students would conduct such activities that would utilize the hyper local nature of the OLX platform to reap rich dividends. These activities would include “Conducting Guitar Classes”, “Organizing Book Fairs to exchange books and notes”; “Language learning courses” etc.Students will get great foot-falls after promoting these activities on OLX.in.The season would culminate in a finale where the top 3 performing ambassadors based upon manual screening would be gratified and rewarded. Along with presenting a certification of recognition to all participants, the best performing ambassador will also be sponsored to a global internship with OLX at one of its international offices.
