Mama’s Used Cars shares vehicles with crash avoidance features

These used cars offer crash avoidance features that will reduce vehicle accidents, reports Mama’s Used Cars dealership in Charleston, South Carolina

Online PR News – 08-March-2013 – CHARLESTON, South Carolina – CHARLESTON, South Carolina – Consumers no longer have to buy new cars to get the latest safety technology. Many used cars have crash avoidance features that will keep drivers and their families safer behind the wheel, according to Mama’s Used Cars ( in Charleston, SC.
The Highway Loss Data Institute conducted a study of the effectiveness of crash avoidance technologies and found the features can prevent accidents. In particular, forward collision avoidance systems that include automatic braking and adaptive headlights reduce the chance of an accident.
"As more automakers offer advanced technologies on their vehicles, insurance data provide an early glimpse of how these features perform in the real world," says Matt Moore, vice president of HLDI, an affiliate of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). "So far, forward collision technology is reducing claims, particularly for damage to other vehicles, and adaptive headlights are having an even bigger impact than we had anticipated."
