Jim Sigel Automotive in Grants Pass, OR unveils lineup of Consumer Reports ‘Best Used Cars Under $20,000.”

Online PR News – 07-March-2013 – Grants Pass, OR – In today’s economy, many car buyers choose a used vehicle over a new one, simply for cost. New cars can add a car payment upward of several hundred dollars a month to a person’s budget. With that in mind, a used car can cut the payment into smaller amounts, without sparing luxury or class. The positive side to this is that consumers win in a slim market; prices have been marked down even lower by car dealers to get used cars off of the lot.

Consumer Reports lists the following Honda vehicles under $10,000: 2003-2007 Civic, 2007-2008 Fit, 2003-2005 Accord (4-cyl.), 2003-2004 Accord (V6), 2003-2004 CR-V, and the 2003 Pilot. It then continues to list the following Honda vehicles for $10,000-15,000: 2008-2011 Civic, 2009-2011 Fit, 2006-2007 Accord (4-cyl.), 2005-2007 Accord (V6), 2005-2007 Accord Hybrid, 2003-2004 S2000, 2005-2007 CR-V, and the 2004-2006 Pilot. If one was looking for a $15,000-20,000 Honda vehicle, Consumer Report lists the following: 2012 Fit, 2010-2012 Accord (4-cyl.), 2011 Accord (V6), 2009-2010 Civic Si, 2005-2007 S2000, 2008-2009 CR-V, 2007-2008 Pilot, and the 2006-2008 Ridgeline.

Consumer Reports also showed trends with the Chevrolet market, listing the 2011 Malibu average asking price under $15,000 and the 2012 Malibu as under $20,000. It also listed the 2003 Chevrolet Corvette for under $20,000 if a fancier sport car is of interest to buyers.

Consumer Reports ranked Nissan vehicles under $10,000 as the 2006 Sentra, the 2005-2006 Altima (4cyl.), and the 2003 Frontier. If a buyer is looking for a Nissan vehicle between $10,000-15,000, one might find the 2009-2010 Sentra, the 2007 or 2010 Altima (4 cyl.), the 2006-2007 Altima (V6), the Altima Hybrid from 2007-2010, the Maxima from 2008, the 2004 or 2006 350Z, the 2009 Rogue and the 2004 Frontier. For $15,000-20,000, the following Nissans can be purchased: the 2011 Leaf, 2011-2012 Altima (4-cyl.), 2008 or 2010 Altima (V6), the 2009 Maxima, 2007 350Z, 2010-2012 Rogue, or the 2009 Frontier.
