The fault locator detects faults in an OTDR dead zone and also finds breaks, poor connections and bending or cracking in fiber optic cables. It is intended for field personnel who need an efficient and economical tool for fiber tracking, fiber routing and continuity checking in optical networks.
This portable fiber optical visual fault locator, model 3105P, features low voltage warning, stable output power and supports both CW and pulse operating modes. The 650nm visible fault locator complies with CE standards including EMC, EMI and ROHS. It is drop and dust resistant and has a laser case ground design which prevents ESD damage. The rugged fault locator is shipped with a FP-LD emitter and a 2.5mm universal connector. If 1.25mm connectors are required, an FC (male)-LC (female) convertor can be provided upon request. With two AA alkaline batteries, the fiber optical visual locator can work continuously for up to 60h.
