An easy to use Vegetable Garden Layout Tool has just been added to the VegetableGarderPlanner.com website, which already provides an extensive set of tools and information for the vegetable gardener
Online PR News – 05-March-2013 – Wolcott, CT – Vegetable Garden Planner has just launched an exciting new application which simplifies the task of laying out plants in a vegetable garden. The Vegetable Garden Layout Tool has an intuitive user interface that allows a new user to quickly master the tool. The first step is for the gardener to enter the shape and size of his garden into the tool. This can be done by dragging bed shapes into the Bed Layout Window, resizing them, and assembling them to match the physical layout and size of the user’s garden.
Next, the gardener adds plants to his bed layout. This is done by dragging a plant from the Plant List and dropping it onto the bed. There are more than 90 plant types, each with its default plant spacing, making it straightforward to position plants correctly. The user can also reserve planting areas of the garden bed for planting seeds rather than individual plants.
Once the plants have been brought into the bed, the plants, either individually or as a group, can easily be moved and positioned as needed. Moreover, a number of them can be selected and then aligned into a perfect row. They can even be distributed so that they’re touching or spaced evenly.
The Layout Tool, in addition to being intuitive, is also very flexible. The gardener can customize her layout by changing the size and shape of any plant, adding a label to each plant, or modifying the color of the plant’s outline.
Reviewers say, “The garden layout tool makes planning my garden fun rather than the drudgery it was using paper and pencil.” and “This is a great tool, it only took me a couple minutes to layout the plants just the way I wanted them.”
