PPI claims handling company PPIRefundsUK have launched a new website aimed at making it easier for consumers to get their money back.
Online PR News – 11-May-2010 – – The website has been designed to be as user friendly as possible and offer free advice to those interested in making mis sold PPI claims. As part of the new look site, PPIRefundsUK have created possibly one of the simplest and quickest forms in the industry, designed to ask only the relevant information and get a claim started as soon as possible.
Speaking about the new site, Claims Manager at PPIRefundsUK, Rick Power, said: “We know there’s a lot of different information out there about mis-sold PPI and there are new PPI reclaim companies popping up over night. The aim of the site is to explain what payment protection insurance is, how a claim works and the costs involved, while giving users the opportunity to get their claim started straight away.”
This open attitude towards the PPI reclaim process is a refreshing change in a marketplace that has seen some controversy in recent months. In March, claims company Cartel Client Review had it’s licence suspended by the Ministry of Justice after ‘serious concerns’ arose regarding funds paid in advance by customers.
Needless to say, after years of PPI mis selling by banks, lenders and policy providers, the last thing financial consumers need is more problems when trying to get their money back. Mr Power added: “By providing a FAQ on payment protection insurance refunds, visitors to the site can learn a little more about making a claim and even get a good idea of whether they might have one.”
He went on to say: “More than 10 well-known lenders have already been heavily fined by the Financial Service Authority and if you have or had a borrowing with one of them, there’s a good chance that you may have a mis-sold PPI claim as well.”
With the latest figures showing the number of PPI related complaints to the Ombudsman reaching the 30,000 mark, it’s no surprise that PPI claims are becoming commonplace. But with an estimated 2 million mis sold PPI policies in the UK according to consumer watchdog 'Which', there’s a whole load more people who could make a claim.
