California Rendezvous has announced that the Kingsley Award will be bestowed on romantic California inns, restaurants, resorts, adventures and places. The initial designated winners are a very diverse group.

Online PR News – 05-May-2010 – – Most California travel sites focus on family travel, cheap travel, skiing vacations or even beach vacations. None focused on the romance that defines California., therefore, has created The Kingsley Award, a prestigious award given only to restaurants, inns, cafes, resorts, adventures and places in California that are both outstanding and are romantic.

Representatives of CaliforniaRendezvous (“Ambassadors of Romance”) personally visit potential award winners, submitting their top discoveries to management. A second level of review ensures that only the very top candidates are included in the awards.

Companies cannot buy a Kingsley Award, nor are the awards limited to expensive places. On the contrary, the Kingsley Award has been granted to:
· Fine restaurants and delis;
· Elegant resorts ( ) and picnic grounds;
· Small wine shops and whole shopping centers ( ), and
· Romantic getaway ideas ( )

“It is not size nor cost that determines a romantic quality,” said Kingsley Lyon, the President of CaliforniaRendezvous. “A romantic quality shines through in a million details. Sometimes it is the perfection of an atmosphere, and sometimes it is the caliber of service, and sometimes it is something so unique that it brings smiles to guests. Whatever it is, that is what we reward.”

To date less than twenty sites have been awarded The Kingsley Award. As more Ambassadors of Romance visit more places, additional award will be bestowed on deserving locations.
