Scuba divers looking to experience a Key West diving trip to the world-famous Vandenberg shipwreck off the coast of the island can now customize the morning dive excursions to head to one of three different dive trips
Online PR News – 01-May-2010 – – The USS Vandenberg that was sunk just a year ago is still big news in the world of Key West scuba diving. The ship quickly jumped into the Top 10 of largest shipwreck dive sites in the world and it provides adventurous divers with the most unique Key West diving experience available. Because of the wreck's popularity, the Key West Dive Center has been offering eager certified divers coming to Key West with daily morning trips out to the Vandenberg.
The morning Key West diving trips to the Vandenberg is a 3.5-hour-long trip that consists of two dives: the first dive is always to the Vandenberg shipwreck and the second one is typically to one of the many excellent areas along the coral reef gardens of Key West. Recently, however, the Key West Dive Center began taking requests for different types of morning trips.
Divers reserving a spot on the morning dive can now make requests for the second dive site. There are three different options. Divers can request that the morning dive remain in its default itinerary, heading to the coral reef for the second tank. The other two options are for a second dive at the Vandenberg, or for a dive at the second-most popular Key West diving shipwreck site: the Cayman Salvager.
"Opening up our morning dive itineraries gives our customers more flexibility and allows them to experience the kind of Key West diving trip they are most interested in experiencing," says Juan Alagoas of the Key West Dive Center.
