What started off as a determination to understand the significance of Intellectual Property in the field of Biotechnology and Pharma, turned into a stimulating discussion at the end of the day. Eminent speakers with profound expertise in the field of Biotech and Pharma shared their ideas and views with the participants from some of the most renowned and esteemed Biotech and Pharma organizations like Wockhart, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Panacea Biotech, Milipore. The underlying focus was to provide business advantage to these biotech and Pharma research organizations for their dedication and ingenuity.
The proceedings unfolded with an enticing discussion on Patent trends by Dr. Kalyan C Kankanala. Dr. Kalyan, an alumni of NLSUI Bangalore and Franklin Pierce Law center USA, set the tone of the event with his insightful presentation. He also shared some of the wonderful experiences he had in his eventful association with the Biotech and Pharma Industry.
The first session was preceded by an enlightening presentation on FTO and Infringement Analysis by Mr. Vikram Pratap Singh Thakur, an alumni of NLU Jodhpur who works as a Senior Patent Analyst at Brain League IP Services and handles the Biosciences Division of Brain League. Having worked with some of the big names in the Biotechnology and Pharma industry, Mr. Vikram provided invaluable inputs in terms of issues related to FTO and Infringement analysis.
The third session by Mrs. Vinita Radhakrishnan on the mechanics of claim construction and drafting was highly captivating and involved high amount of interactions. Mrs. Vinita Radhakrishnan, an expert in Indian and European patent laws had the audience glued to their seats with her highly energetic and spirited presentation.
The last session was the counseling session, which turned out to be a really valuable one with participants waiting eagerly for their turn of discussion with the panel of experts. The panel of experts from the Intellecture team attended to the queries of the participants and provided them with best possible information.
