Patrick Kia of Richmond reports on the NAIAS debut of the 2014 Kia Cadenza, the new entry by Kia into the premium sedan market.
Online PR News – 29-January-2013 – Richmond, VA – The newest addition to Kia’s five-star lineup was revealed on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show. It is called the 2014 Kia Cadenza, and it indicates Kia’s reentry into the full-size sedan market. Kia had not had a contender in that market since the retirement of the Amanti following the 2009 model year. Patrick Kia has provided us with all the latest details on the Cadenza, straight from the auto show.
The Cadenza will be offered in just one trim but with the availability of two packages (Technology and Premium). Even sans packages, the Cadenza is the pinnacle of performance, comfort, efficiency, and technology. The drivetrain for the Cadenza is surprisingly potent, featuring a 3.3-liter V6 engine with direct inject, allowing for a powerful, versatile, and capable performance. The jaunty powertrain generates 293 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque but puts no strain on fuel economy. While no exact fuel ratings have yet been released, Patrick Kia assures us that it promises to be competitive with market favorites in the same segment, which tend to come in around the mid twenties.
Standard for the Cadenza are a number of performance, safety, entertainment, and information features that place the sedan at near luxury status at affordable pricing. Some of the latest technology features for the Cadenza include Bluetooth connectivity, a backup camera, the critically acclaimed UVO entertainment system with an 8-inch touch screen, expert navigation implementing traffic updates provided by SiriusXM, and an Infinity premium stereo sound system. The Cadenza offers a range of technology geared toward driver and passenger comfort and convenience: a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat adorned in leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, and keyless entry with push-button start.
The aforementioned Technology and Premium packages add to the luxury and convenience of the Cadenza experience. The Premium Package features premium leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, a 7-inch screen housed in the instrument cluster, heated front and rear outboard seats, a power rear sunshade, adaptive high-intensity-discharge headlights, a power-adjustable heated steering wheel, and a ventilated driver’s seat with an extendable cushion and memory feature. On the other hand, customers can opt for the state-of-the-art Technology package, which adds a pioneering “water-repellant” windshield, adaptive cruise control with full-stop capability, an electric parking brake, 19-inch wheels, and the latest and most highly regarded safety features, like lane departure warning and blind spot warning.
Customers can expect the all-new 2014 Kia Cadenza to arrive in Richmond at Patrick Kia this spring. Until then see the current Kia family of cars at www.patrickkia.com or call the Virginia Kia dealership at 888-862-0895 for more information.
