The farm, located on 7583 Warren Road, has had riders from over six countries learn the sport of equestrian and is a perfect facility for children learning how to ride in horse shows all year round.
Horseback riding or equestrian training in Michigan certainly doesn’t sound appealing during the cold winter months. But a farm in Ann Arbor with a large indoor jumping arena encourages horseback riders of all ages to come to the farm and ride all year round.
Hedge and Turf Farm caters to all levels of riders, from beginners to advance. They are a hands on equestrian horse training farm for those who love horses and love to be involved in the sport.
“We teach people how to ride horses,” said Sharrone Peters, owner of Hedge and Turf Farm said. “They just don’t go through the motion. We really teach them how to ride and encourage and be part of a group that enjoys riding.”
Hedge and Turf Farm has many beautiful horses and ponies on their farm for people to learn how to ride. Also, This February, the farm will be taking horses to Ocala, Florida to participate in HITS horse show .
Riders who’ve trained at Hedge and Turf Farm have showed at the Pennsylvania National Horse show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and the National Horse Show in Lexington, Kentucky in 2012.
Hedge and Turf Farm is located four miles east from the University of Michigan, minutes from Plymouth and Northville, Michigan and a half hour from downtown Detroit.
