ToddlerTrunk.com, an online marketplace and community for parents, launches in Edmonton and Calgary.
Online PR News – 29-January-2013 – Toronto, Ontario – On January 28th, ToddlerTrunk.com, a free online marketplace for parents, officially launched in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta.
TodderTrunk.com provides a way for parents to buy, sell, and trade new, handmade, and gently used children’s items. Items on ToddlerTrunk.com include clothes, toys, furniture, strollers, and more. Items are organized by type, gender, and age, making it easy for parents to find the stuff they need.
In addition to buying and selling items, users give items away for free in exchange for Rubies. A Ruby has a value of $10.00. When users join the site, they receive 5 free Rubies that they can trade for children’s items. Users also receive Rubies for posting items and logging into the site.
ToddlerTrunk.com tries to put a face on everyone’s profile to create a community of parents in local neighbourhoods. Users have the option of signing into the site with their Facebook or Twitter accounts, so users have a better chance of knowing if the seller or the buyer is a friend, a neighbour, or an acquaintance. ToddlerTrunk.com also provides online community space for parents through the ToddlerTrunk blog and the Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest accounts.
“Meeting other moms and dads can be challenging when you’re a busy parent,” said Jennifer Scace, CEO. “We make it easy for moms and dads to connect with other local parents, while decluttering their homes of unneeded children’s items. We also help parents save money on great stuff for their little ones.”
ToddlerTrunk.com is now available in Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary. It will be launching in Montreal, Ottawa, and Halifax in the next few months.
