The Toyota Furia Concept was introduced at the 2013 North American International Auto Show as a dramatic and aggressive new design.
Online PR News – 30-January-2013 – Clinton, New Jersey – Toyota unveiled the new Corolla Concept, the Furia, at the 2013 North American International Auto Show. The Furia is designed around the “Iconic Dynamism” theme to appeal to a younger generation of consumers. This new concept is expected to be the next-generation compact sedan and will be available later next year at Muller Toyota.
The new design for the Furia Concept comes from a desire to create a clean, dramatic and confident looking compact sedan. Bill Fay, VP and GM of Toyota Division commented on the design, “It blends a heightened emphasis on dramatic design and modern elements of high technology to generate curb appeal that will surprise a lot of people.” With high competition in the compact sedan segment, this show-stopping style is exactly what Toyota needs to turn heads.
The Furia is bringing the compact sedan segment to a new level by creating a more provocative and dynamic car. To give it a more stable and athletic appearance, the 19-inch allow wheels were pushed to the outer corners emphasizing its long wheelbase. The Furia is slightly longer, wider and lower than the current Corolla, adding to the sporty appearance.
Several exterior features have been redesign for a more aggressive appearance including the sloping roof, swept-back windshield and fender flares. A sharp pair of LED headlamps and taillights creates a futuristic appearance. Additional features that may be special editions include 19-inch wheels, blacked-out grille and carbon-fiber components.
The new Furia “has a ferocious look,” according to Fay, “I’m sure it will come as a surprise to those who have preconceived notions of Corolla.” Hopefully the new concept will test well among consumers. A roll out date has not been indicated but for more information or updates contact Muller Toyota.
