Simultaneously, over thirty media persons gathered at the Oberoi Hotel in New Delhi where they interacted with Samsung officials at Mumbai in a live Q & A session during the launch which was made possible through a video-conferencing link-up at both the hotels. Each of the guest tables had operational Galaxy Grand handsets, equipped with SIM cards for a first-hand experience even as the show was in progress. The curtain-raiser AV featured badminton star Saina Nehwal who made a dramatic entry through the LED screen which split after the AV presentation, to unveil the phablet, along with Samsung Mobile VP, Asim Warsi.
All the walls at the venue were masked off to pictorially display the evolution and progression of Samsungâ€™s mobile phone offerings, leading up to the Galaxy Grand phablet.
