Online PR News – 27-April-2010 – – T-Mobile is known for providing Wi-Fi wireless broadband Internet service in public locations. The locations include Starbucks coffeehouses, Barnes & Noble Bookstores, select Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Sofitel and Novotel Hotels, major airports, and the airline clubs of American®, Delta, United®, and US Airways®. This mobile broadband operator allows the users to access high speed Internet by using laptop or other Wi-Fi enabled devices.

T-Mobile (http://www.bestcontractmobilephone.co.uk/network_phones.asp?net=T-mobile) has been declared as the best mobile broadband operator. This conclusion was by Mobile comparison website, Broadband Genie that compared the dongles of the leading UK mobile broadband networks.

Dongle tests of major UK mobile broadband networks was conducted by a team of Broadband Genie Road Trip. The leading UK mobile networks that underwent this test was T-Mobile, O2, 3 Mobile, Vodafone, Orange and Virgin Media. The team took a 350-mile rail journey from Cambridge to Bournemouth in a train. The tests consisted of downloading podcasts, streaming videos and audio. This mobile broadband analysis test lasted for 2 days.

T-Mobile showed a remarkable performance with 13MB podcast in 22 seconds only, which finally jumped to 4.8Mbps. Both Vodafone and 3 UK was unable to show such a marvellous performance as compared to T-mobile. The other three mobile broadband providers like Virgin Media, O2 and Orange reflected slower download performances. Thus, T-mobile came on top of the Mobile Broadband Networks list.

Chris Marling, editor of Broadband Genie Road Trip 2010, notified that 2010's result did not differ significantly as of 2009. Only a couple of mobile broadband networks increased their speed. On the other hand, O2 is one of the mobile providers whose dongle tests did not altered. However, Broadband Genie Road Trip 2009 award was won by Virgin Media.
