(Atlanta, GA) - PAs from across the country are getting ready to discover Washington, DC this summer. Registration is now underway for the Association of Family Practice Physician Assistants’ 2010 Summer CME Conference, which will be held August 12-14 in the nation’s capital.
“This conference was added to AFPPA’s schedule of immensely popular continuing medical education events to offer PAs more CME opportunities in more locations,” said Robert Thoemke, PA. Thoemke is the current president of the association. “Nowhere else can you find CME ‘for PAs, by PAs.’”
The conference will be held at the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center, in the heart of downtown DC. AFPPA will provide the highest quality education, including the nation’s best speakers, hottest topics and exciting hands-on workshops in intimate group settings.
“The CME that AFPPA offers is specifically tailored for primary care focused physician assistants, nurse practitioners and athletic trainers,” said Thoemke. “AFPPA also extends early registration discounts and special member rates to our conferences.”
From museums and memorials to shopping and theaters, conference attendees also will have the chance to enjoy attractions and sightseeing in the nation’s capital. AFPPA has made arrangements for special room rates at several properties steps away from the Ronald Reagan Building and many of DC’s star attractions, including the White House, National Archives Building and Ford’s Theatre.
PAs have discovered that AFPPA conferences really do offer the best CME opportunities, and are held in the best locations for leisure time activities and family fun. Here’s what some of them had to say about AFPPA’s 2010 Spring Conference at Walt Disney World®:
