The iPad is the New Portable Karaoke Machine

The KARAOKE Channel Mobile App Ideally Suited to iPad.
Technology, content and licensing innovators, Stingray Digital of Montreal, announced today that it is developing a karaoke app for Apple's new iPad, the perfect portable device for karaoke.

Online PR News – 20-April-2010 – – This strategic addition to the multiple platforms already supported by The KARAOKE Channel's line of products and services will add recognizable value to Stingray Digital.

"Stingray's existing infrastructure and expertise allows it to quickly take advantage of new opportunities, such Apple's iPad device and to deliver the best solution when designing products and services", says Alexandre Taillefer, CEO of Stingray Digital, owner of The KARAOKE Channel. "The iPad makes our karaoke videos look more amazing than ever and we're excited to deliver this new and exciting app to customers for the perfect karaoke experience" he added.

With an app designed specifically for the iPad, karaoke has never been as easy, as light or as beautiful as on this magical device. Combining the portability of The KARAOKE Channel Mobile app for iPhone and iPod touch, with the quality of high res videos, there's enough screen space left on the iPad to view song information and song lists complete with gorgeous thumbnails. For the full karaoke singing experience, just double tap to switch to full screen for stunningly clear karaoke video display on the iPad's large high res screen. The best karaoke is at your fingertips as you thumb through song lists, favorites, recently played songs or quickly find the exact song you want by typing the name into the search box with the easy-to-use virtual keyboard. The songs are played with original concept video backgrounds and if you need a little help singing the song an optional lead vocal guide track can be turned on or off. Full song lyrics are included on each song’s info page.

The KARAOKE Channel is known for: note-perfect, re-recorded hit songs in the style of today's greatest artists and yesterday's legends, from multiple genres and spanning all eras and this app comes with more songs than any other karaoke app, with 50 complimentary songs in the style of such artists as Lady GaGa, Rihanna, T-Pain, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. The complimentary song list is updated monthly to ensure there will always be new and popular songs to sing. Additional content packages will also be available by subscription. Whether you want to access the entire catalog of more than 7,000 songs or are interested in a package containing a specific genre or era, there will be a karaoke package right for you so you can choose exactly the songs you want to sing when you want to sing them. Members will be able to log in to their accounts across karaoke streaming services (online website, iPad app, iPhone/iPod touch app).

Future versions of the iPad app will include the ability to record your karaoke performances, as well as connect your iPad to your TV to display the karaoke videos on your television screen.
