New Program Helps Patients Overcome Hurdles Toward Health

Not sure how to create a healthy grocery list? Wondering if yoga might be the answer to your exercise prayers?

Online PR News – 13-July-2009 – – Not sure how to create a healthy grocery list? Wondering if yoga might be the answer to your exercise prayers? Stuck on how to cook a healthy dinner? Cenegenics Carolinas recently launched a new program to help patients overcome their stumbling blocks toward healthy living. The Advanced Lifestyle Program lets patients delve in depth into areas they are struggling with on their path to health.

As part of the program, each patient spends six hours meeting one-on-one with one or several experts who provide guidance on healthy food shopping, building a healthy home and office pantry, finding healthy restaurant options, cardio conditioning, sports training, meditation, Pilates, yoga, stress management and more. Cenegenics Carolinas has partnered with Charleston-area yoga instructors, dieticians, personal trainers and more to provide the instruction.

The Advanced Lifestyle Program gives Cenegenics patients a way to expand upon the information and instruction they receive during Cenegenics’ executive health evaluation. The executive health evaluation is a comprehensive health assessment that provides patients with an individualized regimen of nutrition, exercise, nutraceuticals and hormone optimization to maximize their health and improve quality of life.

“Our patients have told us they wish they had the option of really focusing on one area,” says Dr. Mickey Barber, CEO of Cenegenics Carolinas. “Maybe they thought they could never run a 10K race, but now they want to work with a trainer to create a plan that would allow them to achieve that goal. We want to give our patients more confidence about how to live healthy, which ultimately allows them to live a longer and more energetic life.”
