She is currently the Founder and Chairman of Hirco Group, one of India's largest developers of premium residential real estate. She is also a trained chartered accountant was given charge of a software venture, Hiranandani Software and Systems Pvt. Ltd. She revived the company, rechristened it Zenta India Pvt. Ltd, and sold it for Rs 427.9 crore by May 2005. Having proven her ability, Priya expressed her desire to join her family’s primary business—real estate. In 2006, she co-founded Hirco which at the time of its listing on the AIM in London was the biggest real estate IPO on that market. The company is currently invested in mixed use developments totaling 66 million sq. ft. She also serves as the Chairman of the Steering Board for the real estate community of the World Economic Forum. She continues to be the key promoters of the Hirco company and also remains a consultant to the board.
Priya has always been a go getter and a maverick achiever. She is a post-graduate from Mumbai University, won the Indo-American Society for Young Entrepreneurs award (she was one of a dozen Indians who were named Young Global Leaders by World Economic Forum).
She is not only a successful business woman, but also runs a British charity, Vandrevala Foundation. It is a social enterprise active especially in support of mental health, dyslexia and multiple sclerosis focused on making a sustainable difference for those in need. The management team comprises of a group of professionals with expertise in international philanthropic investing. The Vandrevala Foundation therefore identified mental health as an area where it could usefully and practically contribute to society. As the first step in its initiative The Foundation launched a 24x7 Mental Health helpline to serve patients, families and others dealing with mental health issues. The foundation utilizes an innovative and entrepreneurial approach to charitable-giving that provides grants to organizations that make a real difference. Mr. and Mrs. Vandrevala, our founders and companies they have invested in, have been actively involved in social causes on an international level.
Not only this, Priya and Cyrus Vandrevala were one of the principal contributors in 2010 to The Elephant Parade, a charity and public-art event organized by an elephant-conservation NGO headed by Mark Shand, the brother of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. They are regularly photographed at charity events.
