A new white edition of the Blackberry Bold 9700 has now been launched alongside two previous white Blackberry phones; the 9000 Bold and 8520 Curve. Phones Limited is now comparing deals on O2, Orange and T-Mobile for this latest edition of the Blackberry 9700.
Online PR News – 15-April-2010 – – A new white edition of the Blackberry 9700 Bold has now been released to further expand the Bold range, following on from the white Blackberry Bold 9000 and 8520 models which have proved popular alternatives to their original black editions the new 9700 looks set for mass market appeal.
This advanced emailing device features a good quality 3.2 mega pixel camera also found in the previous 9000 model but the manufacturer claims that the optics have now been improved as well as further camera features added making it a better quality photographic experience.
Further improvements include a new optical track pad which replaces the original rubberised track ball solution, this is the main navigation button for the phone and works in a similar way to a laptop mouse where the user simply swipes their finger across the pad. The original track ball fell foul of repeated use with many consumers complaining that it was wearing out and needed replacing.
The Blackberry 9700 Bold White edition offers the same features found in the black model, WIFi, HSDPA and Bluetooth are all still present for wireless connections and fast internet browsing, upload and download speeds.
Blackberry mobile phones are most famed for their unique keypads which incorporate Qwerty functionality in a different arrangement, the Bold 9700 is no different and the white keys against a white casing give the phone a sleek look.
The 9700 is also known as the Blackberry Bold 2 and also incorporates GPS technology for satellite navigation, route finding and planning. The main display screen measures a good sized 2.6 inches for viewing web pages and emails as well as gaming and video playback.
The majority of manufacturers realise the appeal of white coloured phones with most offering at least one model in this colour scheme, Nokia have their Nokia X6 whilst Sony Ericsson have just launched their Sony Ericsson X10 in white. LG and Samsung almost dominated the mid-range market with their LG Cookie and Samsung Tocco Lite models whilst Blackberry themselves still make good sales with their Blackberry 8520 White edition.
This first release of the 9700 Bold on O2 deals is set to be followed by rival network picking up this new Blackberry phone, already confirming a launch are Orange and T-Mobile through third party mobile phone retailers and a Pay As You Go release is also on the cards over the next few days.
