New smartphone app and website harnesses the power of independence to fight back against the mainstream.
Online PR News – 04-January-2013 – Sanford, Florida – iHateRadio, a Florida Company, has launched the Android beta version of its brand new smartphone app that celebrates the art of independent broadcasting and music-making from around the world.
“Finally someone is sticking up to the corporate-controlled monopoly over the airwaves and the mainstream music that is force-fed to the masses,” owner Moe Angelo said.
The company is currently running a crowdfunding campaign through January 31, 2013 on Indiegogo.com to raise funds for full development of the company’s vision: to be a categorized database of independent radio stations, a massive streaming library of albums from independent artists, and a musically rich social network and independent news website (with news from musical hotspots around the globe created by those involved in the local scenes).
“If you love indie music, you have to have this app! Independent (NON COMMERCIAL) radio stations streaming music from the entire country”
–Danny Dzurilla, North Plainfield, NJ
The growth of technology has made finding new music and artists from all over the world quite an easy task, and iHateRadio will bring together as many of the sources as possible, in one location. On January 24, 2013, iHateRadio is hosting a worldwide “netathon” (like a telethon) from six cities around the world including Sanford, FL, Youngstown, OH, Nashville, TN and more.
“Mainstream radio has come to a stomach-churning point of commercialism and repeating suit-generated playlists,” owner Moe Angelo said, “and iHateRadio is here to change all of that.”
