Leading center for Key West scuba diving and snorkeling excursions, the Key West Dive Center, is now offering two of Key West's best dolphin and snorkeling adventures
Online PR News – 10-April-2010 – – The Key West Dive Center is now offering more than just Key West diving trips. In addition to their basic Key West snorkeling excursion (which include the brand new Looe Key Snorkel trip), the leading Key West diving center is offering two of Key West's best dolphin tours, the Wild Dolphin Encounter and the Dolphin Shipwreck & Snorkel excursion.
While the Key West Dive Center still focuses predominantly on scuba diving excursions (including morning and afternoon dives, shipwreck dives, certification courses, and dive-in-a-day introduction courses), the center is excited to offer a more varied list of tours to their customers.
The two dolphin tours are similar in scope. Both offer a 3.5 hour trip that is broken up into two portions. First comes the dolphin encounter portion where guests are taken to the Dolphin Playground in the Gulf of Mexico for an eco-tour through the areas most populated by the Key West bottlenose dolphins. The second part is made up of almost a full hour of snorkeling, with all gear and instruction provided.
The Wild Dolphin Encounter does snorkeling at the teeming Key West coral reef ecosystem. The Key West snorkeling on the Dolphin Shipwreck & Snorkel trip goes to a shallow shipwreck. The other difference between the two trips is the size of the boat: the Wild Dolphin Encounter goes out on a small 6-person boat (ideal for private charters for a group this size) and the Dolphin Shipwreck & Snorkel tour goes out on a 14-person boat.
"Key West snorkeling is a big part of our tour focuses, and the dolphin encounters are an excellent and unique way of doing a snorkeling trip preceded by a dolphin watch and education portion," says Key West Dive Center reservations agent Leslie Armstrong.
Other tours offered by the Key West Dive Center include morning shipwreck and reef dives, afternoon double-reef dives, Open Water and Advanced Open Water certification courses (through PADI), and the introductory Key West scuba diving course known as the Resort Course or the Dive-in-a-Day course. The Key West Dive Center is known for its helpful, knowledgeable and friendly office staff and on-board crew.
