UK Motor Insurance – Fuel Tax Regarded as Most Unfair Tax by Drivers
04/09/2010

A poll between MSN Money users revealed that Fuel Tax is regard as the most unfair tax by British drivers. These results are fresh from the latest budget update which suggested that the pending hike in fuel duty has been put in the back burner.

Online PR News – 09-April-2010 – – Fuel Tax is one of the biggest causes for the increased cost of motoring and at present it ranks above Council Tax and Inheritance Tax as an outgoing that causes most irritation amongst British households. Interestingly Road Tax was rated fourth behind the previous trio, suggesting that motorists are beginning to grow disillusioned with the increasing limits imposed on motoring.

Simon Ward of MSN Money said: "With fuel prices heading for another record high, it's perhaps not surprising that fuel duty was the popular choice as the most unfair tax."

The increased motoring costs are forcing drivers to look for ways of keeping UK motor insurance premiums to an absolute minimum. Some drivers continue to flout the law by driving without third party car insurance at the very least – the minimum legal requirement on UK highways.

Another pertinent poll undertaken by Populus and AA revealed that a third of all drivers surveyed are being forced to use their car more sporadically to reduce fuel costs and annual premiums.
