UK based radio suppliers Brentwood Communications recently provided two way radio equipment to a UK government agency operating in Afghanistan.

Online PR News – 08-July-2009 – – UK based company ##--2--## were approached by a UK government agency in June 2009 to supply Two way radio equipment for their staff operating in Afghanistan.

The contract required a solution for both handheld and mobile units for use in vehicles, with secure encryption and GPS as it was imperative that the agency was aware of the user's location at all times, while preventing anyone from intercepting their transmissions. With the Afghan temperatures ranging from -10 to 40 degrees Celsius and the possibility that they would be used in the wind and rain as well, meaning that a hardwearing range of units were needed, with the capability of working in medium to high noise environments.

Stocking a large two way radio range, Brentwood Communications were able to provide units which fitted the needs of the agency, supplying a number of Motorola handheld and vehicle mounted units, PC dispatcher software and all other necessary equipment to complete the agency's radio communications, as well as licensing for the GPS and programming all the software to the user's requirements. This made it easy for the agency to know where their operatives were, as well as to talk to them instantly, with the minimum of setup time once the equipment arrived on site.

Also supplying radio equipment to security staff at the Download festival held at Donnington in June and Blur's Hyde Park comeback concert last week, Brentwood Communications is one of the UK's premier suppliers of radio communication solutions, be those requirements for purchase, hire or installation.
