BMW named the Best Car Manufacturer at the 2009 Which? Awards.
Online PR News – 07-July-2009 – – BMW has been named the Best Car Manufacturer at this year’s Which? Awards at the British Museum in London.
Which? is the largest consumer advocacy group in the UK, counting over one million members, with a magazine and website distributing independent advice on most available goods and services and the awards were based on ratings by subscribers, adding extra credence to this award.
Which? Chief Executive Peter Vicary-Smith stated: “BMW drivers seem to love their cars with 87 per cent in our survey describing themselves as very satisfied with the ownership experience.
"The company’s vehicles always excel in our road tests, while BMW’s innovative EfficientDynamics measures mean some of the best cars to drive have also become incredibly fuel efficient.”
Tim Abbott, Managing Director of BMW Group UK accepted the prize: “We are delighted to have won such a prestigious award,” he said, “particularly as it is our customers who have rated us so highly.
"We take great pains to ensure that the quality of service we offer both directly and through our dealers matches the excellence of our cars.”
The Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) recently named the BMW Group as the world’s most sustainable car company for the fourth consecutive year. With the company’s EfficientDynamics systems making them the most efficient vehicles in the premium bracket and with What Car? Magazine crowning the BMW 318d ES as the Best Green Executive Car in their 2009 Green Car Awards, this trend looks set to continue.
