Concert Hotels Still Booking Solidly Despite Recession

UK hotel booking company, Concert Hotels capitalise on the increase in concert attendances.

Online PR News – 07-July-2009 – – UK hotel booking company, concert hotels are set to continue in their recent success with a new website launch in August 2009.

In contrast to the economic climate, concert attendances have increased throughout the UK. PRS for Music state that UK music tour revenues have increased by a significant 30% over the past 12 months, which is made more remarkable considering the current recession.

Metallica broke the attendance record for the O2 Arena for the second time in March, AC/DC, The Killers and the Kings of Leon are amongst bands that sold out tour tickets within hours of going on sale.

Take That sold 700,000 tickets for their 2009 tour in under two hours back in October 2008 and their Glasgow concerts attracted more than 150,000 people to the City with almost all 6,000 hotel rooms fully booked by fans.

Rather than going head to head with the large hotel booking websites, Concert Hotels have found a niche in the market by supplying hotel bookings near to concert venues.

With the recent expansion of their business into the US and with plans to provide a similar service in Europe, as well as providing links to concert ticket sales and restaurant bookings near popular venues, the site is set to become the one-stop online shop for live music lovers.

Concert Hotels aim to capitalise further and are set to launch a new and improved website in August which will be more focused on user-friendliness with simplified navigation and more efficient links to hotel websites.

The innovative website also intends to expand their readers’ review section as they aim to become a reliable source of concert venue and gig reviews.
