-Twenty-three celebs descended on UCLA’s Hall of Fame eager to empower girls, decorate jeans and help combat teen homelessness-

Online PR News – 07-April-2010 – – March 29, 2010- As 150 tween girls sat unsuspectingly just sixty feet away, past the red carpet and behind glass doors, twenty-three young celebs chatted away, excited to be spending a Saturday afternoon together supporting a great cause and launching a new movement.

DM’ingTM (DenimMessagingTM) -a new movement initiated by AK Tweens, the nation’s leading tween girls’ marketing/consulting firm and, the largest COPPA compliant tween girl reporter and social networking site, both founded by tween expert Denise Restauri- aims to foster hope for homeless tweens-teens as well as increase donations to tween-teen shelters nationwide. DM’ingTM is the decorating of the inside of jeans with images and phrases of love, support, and encouragement for the wearer of the donated jeans.

As their names were announced, the celebrities including: China Anderson (Diary of a Single Mom), Allisyn Arm (Sonny with a Chance), Daniella Baltodano (Desperate Housewives), Genesis Codina (Street Kings), Jermaine Crawford (HBO’s The Wire), Isabelle Fuhrman (The Orphan), Madisen Hill (Miss Missouri Jr. Teen), Erica Hubbard (Lincoln Heights), Adam Irigoyen (Wizards of Waverly Place), Leeah D. Jackson (The Shield), Anna Margaret (Disney’s Starstruck), Jonathan Morgan Heit (Bedtime Story/Valentine’s Day), Sage Northcutt (Mixed Martial Arts Champion), Anna Maria Perez de Tagle (Camp Rock 2/FAME), Francia Raisa (Cutting Edge/Secret Life), Alexandra Rose Rieger (Akeelah and the Bee), Stephanie Scott (Dance, Dance Chicago), Taylor Spreitler (Days of Our Lives), Bella Thorne (Big Love), Dani Thorne (Hannah Montana), Remy Thorne (Rubber), Brooke White (American Idol), and Emerald-Angel Young (Law Abiding Citizen) made their way down the red carpet into the room full of screaming tweens. For the next hour, the celebrities (with special guest- Rob Reger- creator of Emily the Strange) decorated jeans donated by Pinc Premium, signed autographs, and chatted with the girls one on one.

Since one of this year’s inaugural A.L.L.Y. Award recipients is Jermaine Crawford, founder of CODE BLUE: reviving a generation (best known for his role as a homeless teen on HBO’s The Wire), it was decided that the tween decorated jeans would be personally delivered by Denise Restauri and Jermaine to Angel’s Flight Shelter in downtown Los Angeles.

The celebrity jeans will be auctioned off beginning April 12th, on , after being displayed at Bloomingdale’s Fashion Ave. Mall, Sherman Oaks location. Proceeds will be donated to CODE BLUE.
