The City of Norco and Waste Management Recognize Business and Individuals’ Green Actions At City Council

Online PR News – 07-December-2012 – Norco, CA – The City of Norco and Waste Management of the Inland Empire awarded the Englebrecht and Wakefield families, and the Cowgirl CafĂ© for their exemplary recycling effort as part of Waste Management’s “Recycling All Stars” program. The environmentally conscious winners were presented their awards at a recent council meeting. The program recognizes residential and commercial customers for their outstanding commitment to recycling and helping conserve natural resources.

Waste Management’s drivers nominate a customer from their respective routes.
Nominations were based on several criteria including how often the gray recycle cart is set out and the cleanliness of the container, meaning that no contaminants such as household garbage or garden clippings are mixed in with recyclables.

The three honorees received a certificate of recognition and a gift basket from Waste Management.

“As the environmental services provider for the City of Norco, we are thrilled to recognize exemplary actions of these customers who are doing their part to recycle,” said Julie Reyes, Community Relations Manager for Waste Management. “Each individual’s actions help recover materials so that we can extract the value in them as we work together to keep Horsetown USA clean and beautiful. Everyone at Waste Management applauds these residents for their exemplary work.”
