10rate editors review and rate the best refrigerators of 2012 on a scale of 1 to 10
Online PR News – 07-December-2012 – Atlanta, Georgia – 10Rate reviewers and staff selected 10 of the best refrigerators for 2012, assigning each a numerical rating as well as awarding three models that stood out for quality, value, and budget. The usable amount of storage space was the most weighted criteria when comiling the refrigerator Top 10 list, and other factors that affected the ratings were temperature control, energy efficiency, price and convenience features.
First up is the Sub Zero Pro 48. 10rate's editors gave it the best quality award with a rating of 8.5 out of 10, the review boasts, “This is one of the most innovative refrigerators ever built. We don’t usually associate Sub Zero with energy savings but this new refrigerator claims it can run on the same energy as a 100 watt bulb – mainly due technology breakthroughs in insulation. One of the key new cool features is the optional glass doors which allow Dads everywhere to see what they want before even opening the fridge.”
The Samsung RF263AERS, won the best value spot and a rating of 8.5 out of 10. The review noted several strengths of the refrigerator highlighting its “good simple clean lines.” 10rate's review went on to mention, “There is no water or ice dispenser on the door which keeps the costs down, and since replacement filters are expensive we do not see this as a big negative. It has an ample 26 cu. Feet storage area.”
The Whirlpool W8TXNGMWQ took home the best budget award with a rating of 7 out of 10. One of the highlights that comes with this fridge are the humidity controlled drawers and ample door storage. The price checks in at less than $1000, so it remains an affordable option for those who don't need the bells and whistles of expensive models. The reviewer noted, "this is a competitively priced fridge which still has some of the new technologies. It’s old style freezer on top design saves you bucks," to finish up the review.
