Infiniti improves sales satisfaction for 2012, jumping eight spots to second among luxury brands.

Power and Associates’ 2012 U.S. Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study awarded Infiniti the honor this week, moving the brand eight spots from 2011. This reflects an effort by Infiniti over the past year to improve upon the customer experience for both its existing customer base through service and ownership experiences, and prospective customers through the sales experience.
Two programs that helped to achieve the increase in sales satisfaction were Infiniti University and Infiniti Personal Assistant™. Sales and service personnel are educated on best practices in luxury customer service through Infiniti University, Infiniti’s retailer education program. The goal is to enhance the overall experience for Infiniti customers, not just at the time of purchase, but over the lifetime of Infiniti ownership. This experience is enhanced with the Infiniti Personal Assistant, a concierge service that gives the driver unlimited access to a live operator to help with any questions or tasks. The service is also complimentary for the first four years of new vehicle ownership.
Infiniti also offers its Total Ownership Experience® to its customers as part of its services. The Total Ownership Experience assists owners with roadside assistance as well as warranty coverage and providing a service loan vehicle during warranty repairs. Infiniti also stresses this same attention to its customers during the sales experience, providing customers with luxuries that emulate the cars themselves – this also reflects Infiniti’s efforts to give customers an individualized experience throughout the entire ownership experience.
The increased satisfaction in sales can perhaps be contributed by the company’s new strategies for 2012. In July the company appointed Johan de Nysschen as its new president, preceded by a relocation of its global headquarters to a new facility in Hong Kong in May. As of October of this year, Infiniti’s sales have increased year-over-year by 20.6 percent. The company hopes to carry over this increase to 2013.
