Toyota has donated of $1 Million to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy Relief, and Toyota of Concord in Concord, NC has all the details.
Online PR News – 03-December-2012 – Concord, NC – Toyota of Concord is proud to announce that Toyota recently made a $1 million contribution to the American Red Cross, as well as several other non profits, to support the relief effort in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. “On behalf of Toyota, we express our sincere condolences to the families affected by Hurricane Sandy. Since we have operations and many dealerships in the affected regions, we felt a special responsibility to lend a hand,” said Shigeki Terashi, president and chief operating officer of Toyota Motor North America, Inc. “ In addition to this contribution, many Toyota employees are already involved in volunteer activities to support those in need. We very much appreciate their support.”
Not only are Toyota employees volunteering to help the victims, but they are also donating their own money to help raise funds for the victims of Sandy. In fact, Toyota will match employee contribution dollar for dollar in hopes of continuing to raise money for those in need.
Toyota Financial Services (TFS) and Lexus Financial Services (LFS) are also reaching out to those victimized in the storm. TFS and LFS are launching a “Customer Outreach” calling campaign to help those who may fall delinquent on loans or leases during the trying times after the storm. Residents of the 13 states impacted by the storm, as well as the District of Columbia, could be eligible for extensions and lease deferred payments, redirection of billing statements and easy-to-do online or phone payments.
